So I have come to the conclusion that I need to buy a laptop. I am talking myself into it by saying I would post more frequently, I wouldn't have to go to the computer, it could come to me. It would save me (hopefully) from posts like this one...Where I show pictures of Nick turning 7! (which happened last November)
In November we also went to Denver to see the Steelers play the Broncos. We had so much fun, I would love to do it again! We went with some friends, we left the kids home, which is still being held against us. Those kids of mine have a long memory.
Something else that I deem noteworthy from November, Ted and I found out we would be adding one more to our family! I know this is not shocking news, since I am posting this in April, but like I said noteworthy.

Catch Up, I am behind!

Here are Carson and Nick on their first day of a new school year. Carson is a 3rd grader and Nick a 1st grader, where did the time go. Carson has been frusterated in school this year. I have to admit, I have been too, who knew that the math he is doing would be so hard. I call mom quite a bit asking her for help. I talked to his teacher concerned about his frustration level and she let me know that he should be challenged, he is in the advanced class and already learning above a 4th grade level. (I am a proud mom) He was really upset when he found out you only get one recess in the 3rd grade. (Poor kid, wait til he hits middle school). Nick has struggled this year as well. The school did a test with his eyes and he has a visual traking problem. He has a really hard time reading, to him it looks like letters and words fall right off the page. I feel so bad for his struggles as I watch him. He trys so hard and does not give up. (I am a proud mom). Nick also seems more concerned with social activities then school work. How is it that they are that old? Speaking of old...

Mica turned 4! She also started preschool. Mica is loving preschool, she is learning so much and enjoying every bit of it. She is a stickler for the rules. She is always repeating rules she has learned and is keeping everyone in line.
They are studying Dinosuars this year. She told me the other day she is glad we are girls and not dinosaurs cause she wouldn't want to sit on an egg all day. She is so funny. That is all for this week. Lets see if I can stay on a roll and update this again next week.

More Summer Shananigans...
As I mentioned before we went to a Bee's game. The kids loved it and we will have to go to more games. I however had a migraine at the game, not fun! Then there was Fossil Fest (a very mini UBIC, for you basin readers) Mica danced in it and the kids rode in Uncle Robert's truck in the parade. We went to Bear Lake (twice) one time was nice and warm...one time was not! I went to girls camp, but forgot my camera so there are no pictures. (Ted was a big hit at girls camp, he was the life of the party!) Carson learned to take pictures of himself with my camera...too funny not to post. The kids and I went to UBIC. I remember it being funner when I was younger, but it was still fun to spend time with family. I could have come back to Kemmerer and listened to Royal Bliss, but staying in Roosevelt one more day to spend some more time with Grandma on Sunday was worth it. (Listening to Eddie Money, however was not!) For those of you at UBIC, you know what I mean. I went to my 10 year class reunion. It was good to see some familier faces, but there were so many there that I had no idea of who they were. The kids and I got to spend some time with Grandma Richens. I love her. Seeing her as she is getting older and not in her best health, was hard. BUT she still has such a strong spirit, it was actually quite comforting. That is it for now...thanks for sticking with these long rambleing posts.
Summer happenings continued
We had friends and family come visit us over the 4th of July for Carson's baptism. Lots of fun. We went to Salt Lake for a day. Hogle Zoo, Temple Square and a Bee's game all in one day. I didn't get pictures of it, but an elephants sprayed us with water at the zoo. It actullay felt good, a break from the heat. And if I didn't think of it as snot, well I was fine with it. The Bee's game picturew will be on the next slide. I can only do 50 pictures a slide...sorry.
What else did we do this summer....part I
We went to Saratoga for Sean's baptism. Mica got a hair cut. The boys played ball. Carson turned 8!! Ted went to the Evanston Mud Bogs. The kids had their swimming lessons. Mica and I went back to Saratoga. We met the Seedall's in Logan and spent some time with them. (not enough time if you want to know the truth)
There are lots of pictures so I did slides instead. But if you put the arrow on the picture it will tell you what is what

Demolition Derby
I am a little behind on posting. This demolition job actually took place before Memeroial day...yep, I am a slacker.

I was so excited to see that half wall go, I really hated it. Almost as much as I hated my ugly carpet in the dining room and kitchen. Could there be anything uglier?
Yes, yes there could. This is what my ugly half wall was hiding. Oh the horror!
I think with only a few holes in the walls we did very well. (Well, Ted did very well, I just took pictures.)
It really opened up the space. Can't wait to see what it looks like finished...
DRUM ROLL PLEASE....................................................
Isn't it beautiful. I guess it isn't completely finished, when this picture was taken I hadn't ripped down the wall paper and painted the kitchen the same color as the wall paper I just ripped down. There is a method to my madness I promise.
We got new carpet too. Along with a living room set and a new dining set. I am spoiled, and I love it!
