More Summer Shananigans...

As I mentioned before we went to a Bee's game. The kids loved it and we will have to go to more games. I however had a migraine at the game, not fun! Then there was Fossil Fest (a very mini UBIC, for you basin readers) Mica danced in it and the kids rode in Uncle Robert's truck in the parade. We went to Bear Lake (twice) one time was nice and warm...one time was not! I went to girls camp, but forgot my camera so there are no pictures. (Ted was a big hit at girls camp, he was the life of the party!) Carson learned to take pictures of himself with my camera...too funny not to post. The kids and I went to UBIC. I remember it being funner when I was younger, but it was still fun to spend time with family. I could have come back to Kemmerer and listened to Royal Bliss, but staying in Roosevelt one more day to spend some more time with Grandma on Sunday was worth it. (Listening to Eddie Money, however was not!) For those of you at UBIC, you know what I mean. I went to my 10 year class reunion. It was good to see some familier faces, but there were so many there that I had no idea of who they were. The kids and I got to spend some time with Grandma Richens. I love her. Seeing her as she is getting older and not in her best health, was hard. BUT she still has such a strong spirit, it was actually quite comforting.
That is it for now...thanks for sticking with these long rambleing posts.

Summer happenings continued

We had friends and family come visit us over the 4th of July for Carson's baptism. Lots of fun. We went to Salt Lake for a day. Hogle Zoo, Temple Square and a Bee's game all in one day. I didn't get pictures of it, but an elephants sprayed us with water at the zoo. It actullay felt good, a break from the heat. And if I didn't think of it as snot, well I was fine with it. The Bee's game picturew will be on the next slide. I can only do 50 pictures a slide...sorry.

What else did we do this summer....part I

We went to Saratoga for Sean's baptism. Mica got a hair cut. The boys played ball. Carson turned 8!! Ted went to the Evanston Mud Bogs. The kids had their swimming lessons. Mica and I went back to Saratoga. We met the Seedall's in Logan and spent some time with them. (not enough time if you want to know the truth)
There are lots of pictures so I did slides instead. But if you put the arrow on the picture it will tell you what is what

Demolition Derby

I am a little behind on posting. This demolition job actually took place before Memeroial day...yep, I am a slacker.

I was so excited to see that half wall go, I really hated it. Almost as much as I hated my ugly carpet in the dining room and kitchen. Could there be anything uglier? Yes, yes there could. This is what my ugly half wall was hiding. Oh the horror!

I think with only a few holes in the walls we did very well. (Well, Ted did very well, I just took pictures.) It really opened up the space. Can't wait to see what it looks like finished...

DRUM ROLL PLEASE....................................................

Isn't it beautiful. I guess it isn't completely finished, when this picture was taken I hadn't ripped down the wall paper and painted the kitchen the same color as the wall paper I just ripped down. There is a method to my madness I promise. We got new carpet too. Along with a living room set and a new dining set. I am spoiled, and I love it!

Carson was Baptized!

Where to begin...

We have had a busy last little while, I have been working full time at the Counseling Center while the Office Manager is out of town, and I have to say that I feel all 4 extra hours! But enough excuses, here is what has been happening, all that I actually remember, at least ;)

Carson was baptized on Saturday. It was awesome. I loved having Ted and My Families here. THANK YOU TO ALL WHO CAME! We had his Baptism, then we had a BBQ in the back yard. Later we set off fireworks in the front yard. I think the "grown-ups" (for lack of better word) had more fun with those then the kids. **you know who you are** After the fireworks we hung out in the back yard and made s'mores around the fire. Good times! Good Job, Carson on your decision to be baptized, I am so proud of you!

Umm, I would love it if people believe Kacey ate the whole cake, but she didn't. But it was still a blog worthy moment!

We had so much fun with the fireworks we are already planning for next year, we have already had some family members say they are coming back next year just for the fireworks. I won't forget you said that when next year rolls around!! (Cambridge's hint, hint!!)

PS I need copies of the pictures of all of us together, if you have some send them to me. THANKS!

Kruz and Kolby's Birthday Bash

While we were in Utah we got to attend the joint birthday parties for Kruz and Kolby!
I had fun hanging out with all the family, even if Kolby didn't want anything to do with me!

Flashback to Myton Elementary!

For the second half of our spring break we went to Myton. I know, I know, you are all probably jealous. We went with my Mom's second grade class on her annual bike hike and let me just say that I was seriously misled! I was told it was a 5 mile ride, no problem. It was 5 miles ONE WAY! And I know I went on this ride when I was in Elementary but it seemed shorter and easier when I was 7! I pulled Mica behind me in her bike carriage most of the way, on the way back with that wind blowing so bad I finally had to have Ted take Mica and her carriage with him in the Expedition. Carson made it most of the way, and would have made it all the way, if that wind hadn't blown him over and helped him crash. He was riding circles around me! The next day I went to the Myton Elementary talent show...LOTS OF TALENT!
Ben and Zach did some tumbleing! They did awesome!
Gloria played her guitar, I was impressed. She did great, I see a future here!!!
And Ben sang "Bad Day" he did very well. I had fun with my little flash back to Myton Elementary!

Grand Junction

For Spring Break this year, Ted and I both took the week off, and we went to visit family. We had a lot of fun. We left Kemmerer on April 3rd. We started to drive to Grand Junction to spend time with Ted's Sister and her family, but it was snowing so much that by the time we hit Vernal we decided to spend the night with my parents instead of driving over Douglas Pass in the middle of the night durning a blizzard. The next morning we got up and drove the rest of the way to Grand Junction. Douglas Pass was horrible, but I am glad we drove it in the day light. The kids loved being in Grand Junction and spending time with their cousins. Micalyn and Pheonix had lots of fun. They did some bonding over cosmetics. We took the kids to Chuck E. Cheese

We also got to go to Shyenne's concert. Pheonix seemed happy to be there...When the younger group of students started to warm up Nick said, not to quitely, "Oh this is terrible!" It was really hard not to laugh, that kid can be really honest sometimes.

We had a lot of fun with Mike, Kacey, Sheyenne, Madisen and Pheonix...we can't wait to visit again!!!

LOVE YOU GUYS!!

Birthdays, Traveling and Swimming...oh my!

I haven't been doing much blogging lately, I have however spent countless hours catching up with old friends on Facebook. So I am "blogging down" or is it buckleing down and going to do some much needed catching up. We went to Logan in mid March for Emma and Tyler's Birthdays...and I just realized as I was looking for a picture of the Birthday kids, that I don't have one of Emma at her own party! SORRY.Here is Tyler at his party, does he look excited or what! And here is Emma at Easter (only a week or so off from her Birthday!) The kids and I got a hotel for our stay in Logan. Daniel, Jana, Tyler and Kailey came to the hotel to swim in the pool with us.

During the birthday party the kids (and Daniel) decided to have a snowball fight....

Bryan got in on the fun too, but it wore him out. Dad, it seems was just tired from all the fun (it couldn't have been all the traveling!)
