Ahhh, this is me exhaling and starting to relax

We went to the Utah Heart Clinic today and had a procedure done on Ted. They checked for any clots around his heart and didn't see any. Then they shocked his heart, made it stop and then it "reset" itself and started to beat again...at a normal and even pace! Yahoo! Oh the relief. Ted and I were talking on the way home about how it all seemed surreal and like we were watching it happen to someone else, then when it is over and you realize how relieved you are, you look back and realize you were stressed to the max. Ted feels much better, his chest is really sore. Dr. Horton told him that it would feel like he was punched in the chest several times and from the look on his face when he makes sudden movements, that must be how it feels. Dr. Horton says he doesn't know why Ted's heart sped up like that and why it couldn't correct itself. He said it is just one of those things that happens. He also couldn't tell us if this would correct it permanently. But if it happens again, he said call his office and we should get to the clinic within 48 hours to have a better chance at not forming any clots. Ted is still sick with an Ear Infection and a Sinus Infection that are causing him more pain and discomfort then his heart did. To my awesome friends who called, emailed and "commented" Thank you. It meant a lot to me that even though you are half way across the state or country that you were still there for me. Love you guys! Enough mushy stuff now. I am going to just go and sit on the couch next to my husband...

The Ted Update System

I brought Ted home this morning. He has an appointment with a cardiologist tomorrow. He is still on medication to keep his heart beating at a regular pace. Ted is upset because he was supposed to go Snowmobiling for 5 days in Cooke City Montana and he is going to have to miss this. He has been so excited to go. But I believe that there is always next year. For now, I am just glad that he is home. He did come home from the hospital with an ear infection, but that fits right in at our house. Nick and Mica both have ear infections as well. I am looking forward to a calm and relatively less exciting future! This update has been brought to you by the Ted Update System. You may now return to your regular scheduled programing.

Ted's Heart

So, Ted is in the Hospital. He was taken there this morning after getting to work and feeling like he had just ran a marathon. There is an EMT on his shift so he called him over and had his pulse checked. The EMT told him he had to go to the Hospital now. For some reason Ted's heart is racing, they have given him meds to make his heart slow down and try to make it as regular as possible. He has to stay overnight for observations. He will be going to see a cardiologist when he is released and hopefully get this taken care of.

Pictures the Kids have Taken

I mentioned earlier that I finally had the disposable cameras I give my kids when we go places developed. Well, here is a slide of some of the things we did last summer from the kids point of view. (There are a lot of pictures so bear with me....)

I tried to make a caption on all of them, so just move your mouse over the picture and it will tell you what it is. ENJOY!

Clarification

After talking with some concerned people I need to clarify...Ted did not fall 2 stories. He was on a platform 2 stories up and fell on the platform. I guess I should be more clear :)
