January

Well, January has come and almost gone and I haven't really documented it at all. Looking back on the month I can't seem to remember past the beginning of the week, but I will try. On New Year's Eve we went to our friends' house for a game night and had a great time (we were only a hour...or more late) We rang in the New Year with good friends and a good time. What a way to start out! Then I got sick. It was just a sinus infection but it knocked me down and out. Then Mica got sick, after a trip to the Emergency Room we found out she had croup...not sure if I spelled that right? Mica and I both got better. I worked a lot of extra hours which I hate at the time, but love on pay day. Mica and I had a girls day where we went to the hair salon and Mica recieved her first ever hair cut. Then while I got my hair cut, Mica got her nails painted. She had a great time. The Counseling Center finally had the Company Christmas Party and from the talk around the office, Ted was the life of the party. I have to admit, he was really funny. And we had a great time. Mica had another first this month, she went to the dentist. Her check up was great and everyone at the office has offically joined Mica's ever growing fan club. She won them over hook, line and sinker. IT SNOWED! It was starting to look like spring here, my grass was showing, birds were singing, I wore flip flops and shorts out side. Then mother nature flipped the switch and it dumped snow. It is so cold out side these days. The Steelers made it to the Super Bowl. Ted was very excited about that, I have to admit that I got into the AFC Championship game myself. It was a good game. I finally took the disposable cameras that I bought for the kids in late spring, early summer to get developed and boy are there some good shots. I will post some of them soon. The kids will love this when they are older, all the places we went over the summer from their point of view. I must say all the pictures of us in the car, looking at the backs of Ted and My heads will bring back some great memories :) Ted and I celebrated our 8 year anniversary. We went to a local resturaunt Bootleggers. I am thinking of making that a tradition as long as it is still open, because that is where Ted and I went on our first date. This morning started out early and a little nerve racking. I was awakened at 2:30 this morning to a mine employee saying that Ted was being taken by ambulance to the emergency room. What a way to start the day. When Ted's Mom got to my house I rushed to the hospital and saw Ted strapped to a bed not able to move. He had been welding about 2 stories up in the air and was in a tight spot. He started to feel sick so he slid out from behind the headache rack and sat for a minute. He stood, waited, took 2 steps and passed out. The next thing he knows he is laying on the ground he can't move and his head hurts. Someone came into the shop a while later and Ted started to yell that he needed help, they have 2 EMT's on his shift so they came running and rushed him to the ER. The doctor did a CT scan and said that everything looked good, they think he just got carbon monoxide poisioning from the welding rod fumes. We got home from the hospital at about 5:45 this morning. Ted says he feels like he got hit by a truck, but other then that he is just fine. I on the other hand am exhausted!

I have a spare minute

I need to get it together! I have been working a lot lately and am using that as my excuse for not having much contact with the world these days. So now that I am back to part time (hopefully for a while) I will try to take the time to do some updateing on our family blog. So, when I have more then a minute I will try to do some much needed catching up.
