Ahhh, this is me exhaling and starting to relax
We went to the Utah Heart Clinic today and had a procedure done on Ted. They checked for any clots around his heart and didn't see any. Then they shocked his heart, made it stop and then it "reset" itself and started to beat again...at a normal and even pace! Yahoo! Oh the relief. Ted and I were talking on the way home about how it all seemed surreal and like we were watching it happen to someone else, then when it is over and you realize how relieved you are, you look back and realize you were stressed to the max. Ted feels much better, his chest is really sore. Dr. Horton told him that it would feel like he was punched in the chest several times and from the look on his face when he makes sudden movements, that must be how it feels. Dr. Horton says he doesn't know why Ted's heart sped up like that and why it couldn't correct itself. He said it is just one of those things that happens. He also couldn't tell us if this would correct it permanently. But if it happens again, he said call his office and we should get to the clinic within 48 hours to have a better chance at not forming any clots. Ted is still sick with an Ear Infection and a Sinus Infection that are causing him more pain and discomfort then his heart did. To my awesome friends who called, emailed and "commented" Thank you. It meant a lot to me that even though you are half way across the state or country that you were still there for me. Love you guys! Enough mushy stuff now. I am going to just go and sit on the couch next to my husband...

That was a refreshing message my friend. I was holding my breath and sitting on the edge all day waiting to hear from you. I can imagine how stressful this has been on all of you!! I pray that Ted will continue to feel better and that someday, he will curve his own heart on those metals as a relaxation exercise...LOL. Love you all and my prayers are with you, always.
So glad to hear that all went well. You've had more then your fair share of bad stuff happen lately.
Wow you have been through a lot in the last little while. I am relieved that Ted is doing better. We will keep all of you in our prayers.
I had no idea Carolyn. How scary!
Now, I know he doesn't have the same thing as Grandma "TMB" (too many birthday's) so he needs to be careful!
When Jonathan had to go into the hospital with chest pain and what we thought was a heart attack about 4 years ago, it was horrible! The sack around his heart was enlarged and causing the symptoms. It was so stressful! I feel for you and Ted.
Hopefully he will be well. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Glad to hear Ted's okay. Hang in there!
